Patreon Posts 18

I know many of you are already thinking that most of my posts in my blogs are my old works, years old quite often. Where are my new works? Have I stopped writing new ones?

Well I am still writing and painting as enthusiastically as before. But these days they are channeled into four other platforms- my annual republished kindle books (https://amazon.com/author/sharmishthabasu) -they devour quite a huge no. of stories and poems every year. Quite a lot!

my bookstore in shoptly (https://shoptly.com/sharmishthabasu) Another section goes to my shoptly bookstore, here I not only publish my monthly Ezines Agnijaat and Agnishatdal I also publish a set of books of poetry and story. They are quite merrily illustrated and are available as pdf files. Yes you can read them perfectly in your cellular phone and of course in computer.

My twin Ezines Agnijaat and Agnishatdal (both English, monthlies) don’t feature much stories or poems but publish all my new essays and articles and again, truckload of illustrations.

and my patreon profile (https://patreon.com/sharmishthabasu) This one again contains bunch of stories, poems and they almost always are illustrated. If not then the stories are very long and of the type that can’t be illustrated.

I have been so stuck up with my creations that I have ignored my blogs and other social media profiles since 2015 I believe. So, if you enjoyed my works quite amply then I think it is high time that I bring you up to date, to share what I am creating these days and how can you get them!

It will be a lengthy affair, so have patience. I will be updating you about my four years of hyperactive creativity!

I will start with Patreon. It is sort of my launch-pad to make my creativity actually become my career. So since creating my profile there I have been updating 5 works each month, two are the Ezines, the remaining three are writing and paintings. Works my blogger friends thoroughly enjoyed. Stories and poems with ample amount of illustrations!

Anyone who becomes my patron there can chose from few tiers-

You can check them from my profile- https://patreon.com/sharmishthabasu

I will share some works from there, hoping they will impress potential patrons, readers who love the stories/poems I write and will love to get a few of them each month. We all have our monthly quota of books we feed the bookworms inside our brain! I did before I started spending that time into writing and painting. I used to read almost anything I could lay my hands on. So I can guess there are many bookworms like me out there who are not writers, just readers and maybe a few of them will get hooked by my writing.

Today’s story is from Coming Kingdom May 2018 [You can buy this copy directly from me via paypal- https://paypal.me/sharmishthabasu [don’t forget to drop me a line @ sermistabasu@gmail.com after paying in paypal so I can send you the pdf file {all these books cost $!}]

They had plenty of time, and their favourite pastime was to invent new ways to harass their prey.

One of their sick games was replacing them. Sometimes one of them, a real stunner, trapped the prey, using all the skills of Cupid. Once the prey was trapped, the lover was replaced.

The replacement was someone whose type the prey would never love, not even in his worst nightmare.

It could be a woman old enough to be his mother, someone that was too horrible for his taste. Then this replacement played her vicious game with him, he thinking her the beautiful goddess he had met a few times before she escaped with some legitimate excuses, he ached to please her, to win her back.

Kept begging and suffering her tantrums disguised as legitimate scorn.

She, on the other hand played the dazzling diva. She squeezed out all his intimate plans and actions. She got the psychological pleasure of tormenting him. Maybe vent out the frustrations she has had when men refused her, ignored her or used her.

When the object of your obsession torments you, the pain is worse than hell. Only those who have suffered at the hand of these evil, wicked lovers know how it absolutely destroys their peace and happiness.

It served two purposes, and one was quite important: the man willingly gave all his details to her, including his phone number, email id, residential address (If they were needed, none can say; he may bolt their prison without being observed).

The second purpose was keeping him hanging for her, so he wouldn’t look for happiness outside. They took care that he got fully obsessed with her. The entrapment was done with utmost perfection.

This helped them in another way too; they could portray to others that he was crazy about a woman like that. If he was living in a safe zone then they could take a step further and create a fake picture of his affair with her.

She entered his rooms when he was away, spent much time there, and left just before he was about to enter.

To make things even more convincing, she entered his room while he was being held in a forced conversation with his landlord or his family. So any casual neighbour would think that they were connected. Or people whose suspicions were craftily stirred would be confident of that they were having an affair or at least were together. No one would dream about such a pogrom, a housing residence of related crooks!

It was a multipurpose game. On one hand they made their prey miserable; on the other hand they monitored his moves- the ones he certainly would not have been sharing otherwise! The limit to which we confide in the person we love would surprise us if we look back from a distance.

Rest in the May 2018 book.
