Both were walking side by side
Hand in hand, heart in heart
Two souls so lost in each other
That the lips, losing voices were mute.

All of a sudden she started to laugh
Giggling like a small girl
Full of mirth, reasonless glee
He looked around could not see cause.

The more he tried to ask her
Louder was her laughter
Finally he lost his patience
And rudely asked her to stop.

She was shocked by the harshness
Laughter stopped, tears followed.
He remembered seeing a beautiful butterfly,
Flying when all of a sudden a child caught it.

A toddler caught the beautiful creature
Beautifully spreading her beauty
Clenched it in her tiny fist so tight
That before one could save, it died.
