when the clouds dance poem 5

book 18

You opened your tiny eyes
looked at this world with glee
at all those faces surrounding
you thought life was a blessing.

You grew up with the same eyes,
your mama, papa never thought it was must
to teach you that there are thorns and roses,
a harsh truth that you came to know too late.

    • mostly they come after too much damage, that is why we should listen to the words of others, often their words save us from imminent dangers. I often regret about not listening to some of the things in past, learnt too late!
