your phoniness drips – a tanka

one too many laughs,
that too on nothing at all!
your phoniness drips,
these are the small signs that
tell that you are covering up!

Some people give you this feeling, don’t they? laughing like hyena or crying like crocodiles! I have read in a priceless book about power games that foolishness is often used as a very good disguise by extremely cunning people! they pretend they are idiot where as under that mask of idiocy they pry out everything you should not share!

Rules of Tanka:

Syllable counts : 5-7-5-7-7
Think of one or two simple images from a moment you have experienced and describe them in concrete terms — what you have seen, tasted, touched, smelled, or heard. Write the description in two or three lines. Describe these feelings or thoughts in the remaining two or three lines

    • precisely. there is a fabulous song in hindi, that has a line- “why are you smiling so much, what pain is it you are hiding?”- I used to be like that, I used to think that smiles can hide pain before hearing that song πŸ™‚ our eyes are traitors!
